"The corporation"

I watched a documentary called "The Corporation" two days ago.
One of the things the documentary made a point about was how big corporations have more power than anyone could imagine, how they manipulate people, how they use people and how they are somehow destroying our planet.
One phrase that chocked me: "In devastation there's opportunity".
These corporations have gotten to the top with the philosophy "HOW TO MAKE THE MAXIMUM PROFIT" regardless of how this profit is made; even if in the process 30 000 people are harmed, even if they backup a war.
At the end of the movie, Michael More says something like (I don't remember the exact words): "They're expecting people to watch this movie, keep sitting on the couch and do nothing..."
As a 20 year old student, I don't see much more to do then write a post about this and talk about it to my friends,
At least that’s a start...

Here's the trailer of "The corporation”:

I watched that movie too. The film is based on the book The Corporation: The Pathological Pursuit of Profit and Power by Joel Bakan.
I did like the comment of Ray Anderson on the book it was:
"Since Rachel Carson's Silent Spring began to expose the abuses of the modern industrial system, there has been a growing awareness that profit at the expense of Earth--of individuals, society, and the environment--is unsustainable. Joel Bakan has performed a valuable service to corporations everywhere by holding up a mirror for them to see their destructive selves as others see them. The clarion call for change is here for all who would listen."

Nowadays, we have a problem we don't know how to listen and to whom or to what we should listen!

So are you just saying that you want to make carrier and get to the top without hurting people? there is NO FAIR & LOYAL WAY that leads to the top, R., you'll have to be one of those persons who do everything to get what they want..

Rod, please don't use categorize a movie of Michael More as a Documentary. He is doing fiction that try to looks like Documentary. I would say that to make it happen you have to do what you have to do, it's up to your definition of what is good and what is wrong to take decisions to go forward.

I do agree on the fact that Michael Moore is a filmmaker and not documentaries but that’s the thing “The corporation” isn’t made by Micheal Moore he just is included in a couple of scenes in it.

I’m not talking about companies that are or aren’t making it happen, I’m criticizing those who'd support a war because it’s pure benefit, those who have no problem putting thousands of people in danger by poisoning their water and those who’d be ready to kill because someone opposed them.
